Autumn Term

English

This half term we are reading 'Troll Swap'. We will keep practising our handwriting and the SPAG features we already know too! 

Phonics/Shared Reading

Our 'Author of the Term' is Jill Murphy.

Children still needing to access phonics will attend daily phonics groups based on their assessments.  Children who have come off the phonics programme will now focus more on fluency and different comprehension style questions.

Maths

In Maths, we will be focussing on place value, addition/subtraction and shape.

Topic – History & Geography Focus

This half term we are learning all about The Great Fire of London.

RE

This half term we are learning about The Bible and the Christmas Story.

Science

In Science this half term, we are learning about living things and their habitats.

Art/DT

In Art we will be looking at building structures and in DT we will make moving pictures.

In PE, we will be doing gymnastics and dodging.

Music

In Music this half term, we will be exploring pulse, rhythm, pitch and playing in an orchestra.

Computing

This half term, we will be learning about online safety, effective searching and coding.

Spanish

This half term we will be learning about how to use language around farmyards, autumn and harvest.

Heartsmart

Within Heartsmart, we will be learning about 'Getting HeartSmart' and letting love in.
