School Dinners

Your child may stay for school meals or if you prefer bring a packed lunch.

From September 2014, school dinners for Infant children are free under the new Government initiative.  For Junior children school dinners cost £2.76 per day, £13.80 per week. Dinner money is due in advance and should be paid through Parentpay, our online system.  The school meal always includes a drink, either juice, milk or water according to the menu.

We are asking parents and guardians whose children go to school in the Cheshire West and Chester area, have a child in Reception, Y1 or Y2 and have an entitlement to free school meals to complete a Pupil Premium Registration Form which can be obtained cwac benefits.

To find out if your child is eligible for Free School Meals, visit the cheshire west & chester website and search free school meals,  telephone 0300 123 7039 cheshirewestandchester.gov.uk.

Children having a packed lunch may bring a still, cold drink but no glass bottles or cans please.  Water is always available for all children.

The aim of our catering team is to use locally sourced produce and provide healthy meals for everyone. The menus are drawn up with input from children and there is a choice of at least 2 different lunches every day.

The meals are freshly cooked on the premises and enjoyed by children and staff alike. Healthy snacks are available for the children to purchase at break time in the morning. The children enjoy food theme days when meals to celebrate different events are cooked such as a Chinese meal for Chinese New Year.

Our catering team also provide suppers or snacks when we have events for parents or visitors outside school.

As part of our School Development Plan we are encouraging healthy lifestyles.  Snack at break should be 1 healthy option.  Water bottles should be brought into school.  All Reception children receive milk and fruit in the afternoon.  Years 1 and 2 also receive free fruit each afternoon.
