Autumn term

Maths Focus

This half term we will be introducing numbers 1-5, learning how to make these numbers. We will be sorting and grouping.  We will compare height and weight. 

Reading - Children will begin their phonics sessions. Children will start learning sounds for each letter of the alphabet. They will learn rhymes to help them write. 

Writing Focus - Children will be listening to familiar and unfamiliar stories.  Children will mark make to communicate.

Topic - All about me! Children will be learning about their own and others' lives.

PE On a Thursday afternoon we will be taking part in PE sessions. Please make sure that children have their PE kits on as they come into school.

Computing - Using ipads and programmable toys.

RE - We will be learning about what is special to us.
