Summer Term

Maths Focus

This half term we will be introducing composition of numbers to 20 and patterns in counting. We will be halving and doubling. We will be learning how to subtract within 10.

Reading - Children will carry on their phonics sessions. Children will be reading 3-4 letter words and words with special friends in. 

Writing Focus - Children will be listening to familiar and unfamiliar stories.  Children will be writing sentences with adult support and using red words and special friends in these. We will be looking at different books such as Clem and Crab.

Topic - Fairy Tales - we will be delving into the world of fairy tales, our favourites and some new ones.

PE On a Thursday afternoon we will be taking part in PE sessions. Please make sure that children have their PE kits on as they come into school.

Computing - Using ipads and programmable toys.

RE - We will be learning about stories that Jesus heard.
